Dr. Tong Liu is an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Miami. My research interests lie in the areas of bioinformatics and machine learning. Specifically, I develop computational tools using statistical and deep learning methods to better understand data from 3D genome experiments (e.g., Hi-C) and to predict protein structures from sequence (Residue-residue contact and quality assessment).
